Biography

Born in the South African village of Mooi River, Candice Susan Swanepoel spent her childhood on a beef and dairy farm before being discovered by a scout in a Durban flea market as a teenager. Within a year, she was booking 5,000 euros-daily work and eventually left her boarding school to work extensively in Europe. In the years that followed, her career took off and she found herself working with Mario Testino, Steven Miesel, and Bruce Weber, covering Vogue and Elle, posing in ads for Agua Bendita, Diesel, Sauvage, Beach Bunny, and Macy’s, and walking for Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, Dolce & Gabbana, Betsey Johnson…and, most famously, Victoria’s Secret. After walking as a fluffy-hooded Victoria’s Secret “PINK” girl in 2007, Candice graduated to a winged walker in 2008 and officially became an “angel” for the lingerie mega-label in 2010. Since then she has been traveling the world for Victoria’s Secret shoots and promotion and has caught the public eye: lately she has been named one of FHM’s Sexiest Women in the World and has landed on Forbes’ list of the world’s top earning models. In 2014 Candice was named the Hottest Girl of the year by Maxim Magazine.
And we’re sure Candice Swanepoel’s star will continue to rise in years to come…

In 2018 she launched her eco friendly swim line Tropic of C, avalaible at e-comerces like Moda Operandi, Goop, Olivela, Fred Segal, Tuchuzy, MyTheresa, Factory 54 and Eight Space.
